First of all, here is my personal study summary for today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus told the Pharisees that God's kingdom is not something people can observe with their eyes. It is already in their midst. Later, some people will say, \"He is here!\" or \"He is there!\" But Jesus tells us not to believe them. When He really returns, everyone will see it, just like lightning flashing across the whole sky. But first, He must suffer and be rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Life will seem completely normal before His return, just as it was in Noah's time. People were eating, drinking, marrying, and living their everyday lives until the flood came and destroyed them all. The same happened in the days of Lot. People were buying, selling, planting, and building until judgment suddenly came.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus also tells us not to cling to our possessions and not to look back like Lot's wife. If we try to save our own lives, we will lose them. But if we give up our lives for Jesus, we will keep them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On that day, even two people sleeping in the same bed will be separated\u2014one will be taken, and the other will be left. When the disciples asked, \"Where?\" Jesus answered, \"Where the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.\" This teaches us that God's judgment comes where there is spiritual death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So always be ready, because His coming will be sudden, visible, and unmistakable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now let Sister Ingrid give a further summary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When we read the conversation between Jesus and the Pharisees, we see a great misunderstanding. For the Pharisees, God's kingdom meant the restoration of the earthly kingdom of Israel without Roman rule. For Jesus, however, God's kingdom is present wherever people receive Him and the Holy Spirit dwells in their hearts, and it will one day be fully revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus also gave His disciples a warning. If anyone claims that Jesus has already returned, they should not follow that person. Throughout history, many false prophets have claimed to be Christ, but Jesus clearly tells us that His return will not be secret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He says that His coming will be like lightning flashing across the sky. Everyone will see it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus also warns us not to live with a false sense of security, like the people in the days of Noah or in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. They continued their normal lives without caring that judgment was approaching. They remained in sin and blasphemy until destruction suddenly came upon them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally, Jesus gives instructions about what will happen on that day and how people should respond when He returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Okay. Can we truly see God's kingdom with our eyes?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n No. God's kingdom is already present on earth through the Holy Spirit living in the hearts of believers. We can recognize it by its fruits, but we cannot see it physically with our eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Jesus said the kingdom is \"in the midst of you.\" Does that mean inside you or around you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Bible promises that where two or three gather together in Jesus' name, He is in their midst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Will the disciples always be able to see Jesus?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n No. The time would come when they would long to see Him, but they would not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. If someone says, \"Jesus is here!\", should we go and follow them?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n No. Jesus warned us not to follow such people. Anyone claiming that Christ has secretly returned is a false prophet who intends to deceive others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5. Will Jesus return secretly or like a flash of lightning?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n He will return like a flash of lightning that everyone can see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6. Why did Jesus have to suffer and be rejected first?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Before establishing the Kingdom of God in its fullness, He first had to die on the cross for our sins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 7. In Noah's time, people lived normal lives until the flood came. What does that teach us?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We should never live with a false sense of security. Life is fragile, and any one of us may stand before God much sooner than we expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 8. Why shouldn't we look back like Lot's wife?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We cannot serve Jesus wholeheartedly if we constantly long for the life we left behind before following Him. Otherwise, we remain attached to the sinful ways of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 9. If two people are in the same bed, one is taken and the other is left, what does \"taken\" mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n There are two common interpretations. One says that the person is taken up in the rapture before the great tribulation. The other says that the faithful remain to live with Jesus in His coming kingdom, while the unbelieving are judged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whichever interpretation is correct, the main point remains the same: there will be a final separation. Those who belong to Jesus will be with Him, and those who reject Him will face judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 10. The disciples asked, \"Where?\" and Jesus answered, \"Where the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.\" What does that mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A person without Jesus is spiritually dead.
