First of all, here is my personal study summary for today.<br>Jesus resolutely journeyed to Jerusalem, knowing difficult times lay ahead. When a Samaritan village refused to welcome him due to old prejudices, his disciples James and John were furious and wanted to call down fire from heaven as punishment. But Jesus stopped them. He chose not to retaliate and simply moved on.<br>On the road, people expressed a desire to follow him. Jesus was honest about the cost: to an eager volunteer, he said he had nowhere to lay his head. To a man who wanted to first bury his father, he said, \u201cLet the dead bury their own dead,\u201d emphasizing the urgency of proclaiming God\u2019s kingdom. To another who wanted to say farewell to his family, he said that no one who looks back after putting a hand to the plow is fit for service.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>This passage shows us: Jesus responded to rejection with resolve and kindness, not revenge. And following him requires putting him first\u2014above comfort, family, and the past\u2014demanding total commitment to the path ahead.<br>Now let Sister Ingrid give a further summary.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":3} -->\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Sister\u2019s comment on my study summary:<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>In the first part of the text, we have two examples of discrimination. The Samaritan people did not want to receive Jesus because he was Jewish. Going to the feast in Jerusalem showed that he not only was Jewish, but also a practicing Jew, and they were enemies of the Samaritans, which is why they discriminated against him.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The disciples wanted to punish them for their actions, but Jesus did not allow it.<br>First, because people will be judged and punished on Judgment Day at the end of time, and we have to learn that even if a person is against us and not a Christian, we should treat them with respect and give the situation to God, because he said, \u201cMine is the wrath.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem, and some people wanted to follow him on this way. But Jesus said that it is not easy to follow him, because he was aware that the way to Jerusalem would end for him on the cross at Calvary.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Therefore, he teaches the people who declare their wish to be with him on this way that it will cost something: being homeless, leaving everything, and having conflicts in the family, not looking back at former merits, as we see later in church history in the book of Acts.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Q list part: based on Luke 27th items:<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Okay. Based on the above Bible study content, now let me ask Sister Ingrid some related questions.<br>We hope the following questions can be helpful to our brothers and sisters who have just become Christians.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true} -->\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Why was Jesus so determined to go to Jerusalem, even when it caused problems?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>He knew that his destiny was to die on the cross for us, and he was willing to go this way.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":2} -->\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>The Samaritan village didn't welcome Jesus. Why do you think they refused him just because he was headed to Jerusalem?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Yes, because they hated the Jews, and going to Jerusalem at the time of a religious feast identified Jesus as a believing Jew.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":3} -->\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>James and John got really angry and wanted to call down fire on the village. What does their reaction tell us about how they were feeling?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>They wanted to take revenge for this discrimination.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":4} -->\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Why do you think Jesus rebuked or scolded his disciples for wanting to punish the village?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>It was not the time for judgment; it was the time to redeem. Because it is written that Jesus did not come to judge; he came to redeem.<br>At his second coming, he will come to judge.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":5} -->\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Jesus said he didn't even have a home like foxes or birds. What do you think he was trying to teach the person who promised to follow him everywhere?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>He wanted to teach them that if they follow him, they may be homeless and strangers in the world.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":6} -->\n<ol start=\"6\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>When a man asked to first bury his father, Jesus' reply sounds harsh. What might Jesus have meant by \u201clet the dead bury their own dead\u201d?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The man wanted to wait until his father had died in order to be free of family obligations. But Jesus taught clearly that we should love him more than our family, and Peter, John, and James also left everything immediately when Jesus called them.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":7} -->\n<ol start=\"7\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>The last person just wanted to say goodbye to his family. Why did Jesus compare him to a farmer who looks back while plowing?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>When you mix your Christian life with the life you had before, you will never make a clear line on your path to heaven.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":8} -->\n<ol start=\"8\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>What do all three of these conversations teach about what it truly means to follow Jesus?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>When we have the desire to follow Jesus, we must love him more than anything else, and we must look forward to the coming kingdom of God.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":9} -->\n<ol start=\"9\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>How is the story of the Samaritan village connected to the stories about the cost of following Jesus?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The Samaritan village were enemies of Jesus; they did not want to follow him, so they did not have to pay anything. It will only cost them their life on Judgment Day.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":10} -->\n<ol start=\"10\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>If you were one of the disciples traveling with Jesus that day, which part of this journey do you think would have been the most challenging or confusing for you?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>I think saying goodbye to family is very hard to do, because we always have them on our minds, and a lot of spiritual struggles have their origin in family.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>But Jesus gives us a new family. Einheit im Lukasevangelium:<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Nun, ihr alle! Zun\u00e4chst einmal ist dies meine pers\u00f6nliche Zusammenfassung der heutigen Bibelstudie.<br>Jesus ging entschlossen nach Jerusalem und wusste, dass schwierige Zeiten vor ihm lagen. Als ein samaritanisches Dorf sich aufgrund alter Vorurteile weigerte, ihn aufzunehmen, waren seine J\u00fcnger Jakobus und Johannes sehr w\u00fctend und wollten als Strafe Feuer vom Himmel herabrufen. Aber Jesus hielt sie zur\u00fcck. Er entschied sich, nicht zu vergelten, sondern einfach weiterzugehen.<br>Auf dem Weg \u00e4u\u00dferten Menschen den Wunsch, ihm zu folgen. Jesus war ehrlich \u00fcber die Kosten: Zu einem eifrigen Freiwilligen sagte er, dass er keinen Ort habe, wo er sein Haupt hinlegen k\u00f6nne. Zu einem Mann, der zuerst seinen Vater begraben wollte, sagte er: \u201eLass die Toten ihre Toten begraben\u201c und betonte damit die Dringlichkeit, das Reich Gottes zu verk\u00fcndigen. Zu einem anderen, der sich von seiner Familie verabschieden wollte, sagte er, dass niemand, der die Hand an den Pflug legt und zur\u00fcckblickt, f\u00fcr den Dienst geeignet ist.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Dieser Abschnitt zeigt uns: Jesus reagierte auf Ablehnung mit Entschlossenheit und G\u00fcte, nicht mit Rache. Und ihm nachzufolgen bedeutet, ihn an erste Stelle zu setzen \u2013 \u00fcber Komfort, Familie und Vergangenheit \u2013 und fordert eine v\u00f6llige Hingabe an den vor uns liegenden Weg.<br>Nun soll Schwester Ingrid eine weiterf\u00fchrende Zusammenfassung geben.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"start\":3} -->\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Kommentar der Schwester zu meiner Zusammenfassung:<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Im ersten Teil des Textes haben wir zwei Beispiele f\u00fcr Diskriminierung. Die Samariter wollten Jesus nicht aufnehmen, weil er Jude war. Der Weg zum Fest nach Jerusalem zeigte, dass er nicht nur Jude war, sondern auch ein praktizierender Jude, und sie waren Feinde der Samariter, weshalb sie ihn ablehnten.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Die J\u00fcnger wollten sie f\u00fcr ihr Verhalten bestrafen, aber Jesus lie\u00df das nicht zu.<br>Erstens, weil die Menschen am Tag des Gerichts am Ende der Zeit gerichtet und bestraft werden, und wir lernen m\u00fcssen, dass wir selbst dann, wenn jemand gegen uns ist und kein Christ ist, ihn mit Respekt behandeln und die Situation Gott \u00fcberlassen sollen, denn er hat gesagt: \u201eMein ist der Zorn.\u201c<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Jesus war auf dem Weg nach Jerusalem, und einige Menschen wollten ihm auf diesem Weg folgen. Aber Jesus sagte, dass es nicht leicht ist, ihm zu folgen, denn er wusste, dass der Weg nach Jerusalem f\u00fcr ihn am Kreuz auf Golgatha enden w\u00fcrde.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Deshalb lehrt er die Menschen, die den Wunsch \u00e4u\u00dfern, ihn auf diesem Weg zu begleiten, dass es einen Preis kostet: obdachlos zu sein, alles zu verlassen und Konflikte in der Familie zu haben, nicht auf fr\u00fchere Verdienste zur\u00fcckzublicken, wie wir es sp\u00e4ter in der Kirchengeschichte im Buch der Apostelgeschichte sehen.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Fragenliste: basierend auf der 27. Einheit im Lukasevangelium:<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Okay. Was k\u00f6nnte er gemeint haben mit \u201eLass die Toten ihre Toten begraben\u201c?<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Der Mann wollte warten, bis sein Vater gestorben war, um frei von famili\u00e4ren Verpflichtungen zu sein.
