2.My summary of John twenty-nineth-time study:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, everybody! Firstly, is still my today\u2019s personal study summary.
This part of the story continues after Jesus has been arrested.
The Jewish leaders take Jesus to the Roman governor, Pilate, early in the morning.
They don\u2019t enter the Proprium, because they don\u2019t want to be defiled before the Passover.
Pilate asks them why they\u2019re accusing Jesus, and they claim he\u2019s a criminal. Pilate suggests they judge him themselves, but they insist they don\u2019t have the authority to execute him, which hints at Jesus\u2019 earlier words about the kind of death he would face.
Pilate then questions Jesus privately, asking him if he is the \u201cKing of the Jews.\u201d Jesus responds by asking if Pilate is asking this for himself or if others told him.
Pilate, not being Jewish, is somewhat confused and says it\u2019s the Jewish leaders who handed Jesus over.
Jesus explains that his kingdom is \u201cnot of this world,\u201d meaning it\u2019s spiritual and not political.
When Pilate asks if Jesus is a king, Jesus answers that he came to the world to \u201cbear witness to the truth\u201d and that those who seek the truth listen to him.
Pilate responds by asking, \u201cWhat is truth?\u201d and then goes out to tell the crowd he finds no guilt in Jesus.
However, the crowd insists on releasing a prisoner named Barabbas instead of Jesus.
Barabbas is known to be a robber, but they still choose him over Jesus.

3.Sister\u2019s comment from my studying summary:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello sister, as you mentioned, a very important point here is, that the Jewish did not enter the residence of Pilates because they wanted to celebrate the Passover. This shows how they were bound on their religious traditions and were totally blind for the real light that came from heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another important point, that I found was, that they did not answer the question of Pilate: What accuse do you bring against this man. They answered, if he would not be a criminal we would not bring him here, but they did not answer about the accuse, because there was no reason for to accuse Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the following text, Pilate searches a option for to get out of this court. He tells the Jewish to decide, but they decline, because they are not allowed to kill somebody. It is interesting, that they had already clear to kill Jesus, even the court with the announcement of the verdict had not yet ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pilates askes Jesus if he was a king and Jesus wants to know who told him this. In the trans curse of the conversation, Jesus says that he is a king, but not of this world. Pilates cannot find anything that is worth to die on him, so he tried to deliver Jesus, because he lets every Passover a criminal free. He thought, the Jewish people will act against their leaders and call Jesus to be set free, but the crowd selected Barrabas to be free, who was a murderer. Barrabas is a symbol of the devil and in place of electing God, the people elected the devil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Jewish were not allowed to condemn someone to death; therefore, they had to go to Pilates for to get permission from him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2.What does it mean that the Jewish leaders didn\u2019t want to enter the Proprium?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Jewish were more occupied about their religious tradition as about the barbarity that they wanted to do at the moment by asking permission to kill the son of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3.Why did Pilate ask Jesus if he was the King of the Jews?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Pilate was a Roman leader. The Romans had occupied Israel at that time and Pilate was responsible, that the people keep quiet and that there is not going on a revolution against the Cesar in Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4.How does Jesus\u2019 answer show that his kingdom is different from earthly kingdoms?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Jesus\u2019 kingdom is the kingdom of heaven, which is not visible. It is in all of us, that received Jesus as our savior and received the Holy Spirit as a seal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5.What might Jesus mean by \u201cbearing witness to the truth\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Jesus is the truth the way and the life. He came in the world to show us, that there is no other way for to come to God as believing in Jesus, his words, his death and his resurrection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6.Why did Pilate ask, \u201cWhat is truth?\u201d and what do you think he meant?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It was a rhetorical question. I think he expressed with this question, that his opinion about Jesus was, that he was a totally fool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7.Why do you think the crowd chose Barabbas over Jesus?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Their leaders have paralyzed them and there were in the group people who shout load enough to make the others follow them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    They thought, what the leaders say is right.
    It is like the Goebbels effect we had in Germany: You put in the crowd people who clap their hand and the rest of the crowd will clap their hand, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    8.What does Pilate\u2019s decision to release Barabbas show about the crowds\u2019 priorities?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The crowd preferred a murderer before a man who did only the good during his ministry<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    9.How do you think Jesus felt being rejected by his own people?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    He was prepared that that will happen. Already in John 6 we read, that he did not have confidence with nobody, because he knew them all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    10.What can we learn from Jesus\u2019 calm attitude during this difficult time?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When we are attacked, defending us is not always the right way. I have learned to keep my hands out and let Gods hands enter. He will bring everything to the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Also, alle zusammen! Zun\u00e4chst kommt meine heutige pers\u00f6nliche Studienzusammenfassung. Dieser Teil der Geschichte setzt fort, nachdem Jesus verhaftet wurde. Die j\u00fcdischen F\u00fchrer bringen Jesus fr\u00fch am Morgen zum r\u00f6mischen Statthalter Pilatus. Sie betreten jedoch nicht das Pr\u00e4torium, weil sie vor dem Passahfest nicht unrein werden wollen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Pilatus fragt sie, warum sie Jesus anklagen, und sie behaupten, er sei ein Verbrecher. Pilatus schl\u00e4gt vor, dass sie ihn selbst richten sollen, aber sie bestehen darauf, dass sie nicht die Autorit\u00e4t haben, ihn hinzurichten, was auf Jesu fr\u00fchere Worte \u00fcber die Art seines Todes hinweist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Dann befragt Pilatus Jesus privat und fragt ihn, ob er der \u201eK\u00f6nig der Juden\u201c sei. Jesus antwortet, indem er fragt, ob Pilatus dies f\u00fcr sich selbst wissen wolle oder ob andere ihm dies gesagt h\u00e4tten. Pilatus, der kein Jude ist, wirkt etwas verwirrt und sagt, es seien die j\u00fcdischen F\u00fchrer, die Jesus \u00fcbergeben h\u00e4tten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Jesus erkl\u00e4rt, dass sein K\u00f6nigreich \u201enicht von dieser Welt\u201c sei, das hei\u00dft, es ist spirituell und nicht politisch. Als Pilatus fragt, ob Jesus ein K\u00f6nig sei, antwortet Jesus, dass er in die Welt gekommen sei, um \u201ef\u00fcr die Wahrheit Zeugnis abzulegen\u201c und dass diejenigen, die die Wahrheit suchen, ihm zuh\u00f6ren. Pilatus antwortet darauf mit der Frage: \u201eWas ist Wahrheit?\u201c und geht dann hinaus, um der Menge zu sagen, dass er keine Schuld an Jesus findet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Jedoch besteht die Menge darauf, dass anstelle von Jesus ein Gefangener namens Barabbas freigelassen wird. Barabbas ist als R\u00e4uber bekannt, aber sie w\u00e4hlen dennoch ihn anstelle von Jesus. Jetzt wird Schwester Ingrid eine tiefere Zusammenfassung geben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Hallo Schwester, wie du erw\u00e4hnt hast, ist ein sehr wichtiger Punkt hier, dass die Juden das Haus des Pilatus nicht betreten wollten, weil sie das Passahfest feiern wollten. Dies zeigt, wie sehr sie an ihren religi\u00f6sen Traditionen festhielten und v\u00f6llig blind f\u00fcr das wahre Licht waren, das vom Himmel kam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Ein weiterer wichtiger Punkt, den ich gefunden habe, ist, dass sie Pilatus' Frage, welche Anklage sie gegen Jesus erheben, nicht beantworteten. Sie sagten nur, wenn er kein Verbrecher w\u00e4re, h\u00e4tten wir ihn nicht hierher gebracht, aber sie antworteten nicht auf die Anklage, weil es keinen Grund gab, Jesus Christus anzuklagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Im folgenden Text sucht Pilatus nach einer M\u00f6glichkeit, sich aus diesem Prozess herauszuziehen. Er sagt den Juden, sie sollen selbst entscheiden, aber sie lehnen ab, weil sie nicht berechtigt sind, jemanden zu t\u00f6ten. Interessant ist, dass sie bereits beschlossen hatten, Jesus zu t\u00f6ten, obwohl das Gericht mit der Verk\u00fcndung des Urteils noch nicht beendet war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Pilatus fragt Jesus, ob er ein K\u00f6nig sei, und Jesus will wissen, wer ihm das gesagt hat. Im Verlauf des Gespr\u00e4chs sagt Jesus, dass er ein K\u00f6nig sei, aber nicht von dieser Welt. Pilatus kann nichts finden, was den Tod verdient, also versucht er, Jesus freizulassen, da er jedes Passahfest einen Verbrecher freil\u00e4sst. Er dachte, die Juden w\u00fcrden gegen ihre F\u00fchrer handeln und Jesus freigeben lassen, aber die Menge w\u00e4hlte stattdessen Barabbas, der ein M\u00f6rder war. Barabbas ist ein Symbol f\u00fcr den Teufel und anstelle der Wahl Gottes w\u00e4hlte das Volk den Teufel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Die Juden durften niemanden zum Tode verurteilen; daher mussten sie zu Pilatus gehen, um seine Erlaubnis zu bekommen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Was bedeutet es, dass die j\u00fcdischen F\u00fchrer das Pr\u00e4torium nicht betreten wollten?<\/strong>
      Die Juden waren mehr auf ihre religi\u00f6sen Traditionen bedacht als auf die Grausamkeit, die sie im Moment durch die Bitte um die T\u00f6tung des Sohnes Gottes begehen wollten.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Warum fragte Pilatus Jesus, ob er der K\u00f6nig der Juden sei?<\/strong>
      Pilatus war ein r\u00f6mischer F\u00fchrer. Die R\u00f6mer hatten Israel damals besetzt, und Pilatus war daf\u00fcr verantwortlich, dass die Menschen ruhig blieben und es keine Revolution gegen den Kaiser in Rom gab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Jesus ist der Weg, die Wahrheit und das Leben. Er kam in die Welt, um uns zu zeigen, dass es keinen anderen Weg zu Gott gibt, als an Jesus, seine Worte, seinen Tod und seine Auferstehung zu glauben.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Warum fragte Pilatus: \u201eWas ist Wahrheit?\u201c und was meinst du, was er damit meinte?<\/strong>
      Es war eine rhetorische Frage. Ich denke, er dr\u00fcckte damit aus, dass er Jesus f\u00fcr einen v\u00f6llig Naiven hielt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Warum w\u00e4hlte die Menge Barabbas anstelle von Jesus?<\/strong>
      Ihre F\u00fchrer hatten sie manipuliert, und es gab Leute in der Menge, die laut genug schrien, um die anderen mitzurei\u00dfen. Sie dachten, was die F\u00fchrer sagten, sei richtig. Es ist wie der Goebbels-Effekt, den wir in Deutschland hatten: Man setzt Leute in die Menge, die klatschen, und der Rest der Menge wird auch klatschen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. Was zeigt die Entscheidung von Pilatus, Barabbas freizulassen, \u00fcber die Priorit\u00e4ten der Menge?<\/strong>
      Die Menge bevorzugte einen M\u00f6rder vor einem Mann, der w\u00e4hrend seines Dienstes nur Gutes getan hatte.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    9. Wie denkst du, hat sich Jesus gef\u00fchlt, als er von seinem eigenen Volk abgelehnt wurde?<\/strong>
      Er war darauf vorbereitet, dass das passieren w\u00fcrde. Bereits in Johannes 6 lesen wir, dass er sich niemandem anvertraute, weil er sie alle kannte.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    10. Was k\u00f6nnen wir aus Jesu ruhiger Haltung in dieser schwierigen Zeit lernen?<\/strong>
      Wenn wir angegriffen werden, ist Verteidigung nicht immer der richtige Weg. Ich habe gelernt, meine H\u00e4nde herauszuhalten und Gottes H\u00e4nde wirken zu lassen.
