The cross of Jesus Christ delivers us from<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>the power of sin.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The first Epistel of Peter 2 24 says he himself bore our sins<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>on his body on the cross. Only Jesus who died on the cross has<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>authority to forgive our sins. He died in our place and delivered us<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>from the power of sin.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. The Cross of Christ heals our sickness.<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>According to Isaiah 53 surely he took about pain and bore our suffering by his wounds we are healed<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Jesus defeated Satan on the cross<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>On the cross of calvary Jesus crushed the head of Satan. Colossians 2 15 says having disarmed the powers and authorities he made a public spectacle of them triumphing over them by the cross<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>he defeated the enemy and made powerless.
