Luke 15,1-7
The Parable of the Lost Sheep 1 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him.2 And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”3 So he told them this parable:4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the one that is lost until he finds it?5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me,…

Luke 14,1-24
Healing of a Man on the Sabbath1 One Sabbath, when he went to dine at the house of a ruler of the Pharisees, they were watching him carefully.2 And behold, there was a man before him who had dropsy.3 And Jesus responded to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?”4 But they remained silent. Then he took him and healed him and sent him away.5 And he said to them, “Which of you, having a son or an ox that has fallen into a well on a Sabbath day, will not immediately pull him out?”6 And they could not reply to these…

Luke 11,14-35
Jesus and Beelzebul Luke 11:14–23 14 Now he was casting out a demon that was mute. When the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke, and the people marveled.15 But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of demons,”16 while others, to test him, kept seeking from him a sign from heaven. 17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them,“Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a divided household falls.18 And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.19 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul,…

Luke 9,51-62
51 When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem. 52 And he sent messengers ahead of him, who went and entered a village of the Samaritans, to make preparations for him. 53 But the people did not receive him, because his face was set toward Jerusalem. 54 And when his disciples James and John saw it, they said, “Lord, do you want us to tell fire to come down from heaven and consume them?” 55 But he turned and rebuked them.56 And they went on to another village. The Cost of Following Jesus57 As they were going along the road, someone said to…

Meditation about the Lord s prayer
Our Father in Heaven When we pray, we should focus on the fact that our ultimate destination is the Father in heaven. We are only on a pilgrimage here. God is in heaven and desires to be glorified there as well. We should not drag Him down into our earthly filth. Hallowed be Your name In order to focus more fully on God in heaven, we should meditate on His holy names. We should have reverence for God and approach Him as we would approach a king. His names are His titles. Your will be done If we want to do His will, we must ask Him for it. On…

Luke 9,1-6
Jesus Sends Out the Twelve 1 Then he called his twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.2 And he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.3 He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, and do not take an extra tunic.4 Wear sandals, but do not take two coats.5 Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.6 If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”So they set out and went…

Lukas 8,22-25
Jesus Calms a Storm 22 One day He got into a boat with His disciples, and He said to them, “Let us go across to the other side of the lake.” So they set out.23 As they sailed, He fell asleep. A windstorm came down on the lake, and the boat began filling with water, and they were in danger.24 They went and woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” He awoke, rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm.25 He said to them, “Where is your faith?” They were afraid and marveled, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that…

Luke 8,16-21
Luke 8:16–18 (NIV) 16 “No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.” Jesus’ Mother and Brothers (Luke 8:19–21) 19 Now Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not…

Luke 7,18-35
Messengers from John the Baptist (Luke 7:18–35, ESV) 18 The disciples of John reported all these things to him.19 Calling two of his disciples to him, John sent them to the Lord, saying, “Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?”20 And when the men had come to Him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to You, saying, ‘Are You the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?’”21 In that hour He healed many people of diseases, plagues, and evil spirits, and on many who were blind He bestowed sight.22 And He answered them, “Go and tell John…
